ell, the Oughts are gone and over with. I always used to be amazed to think that my great grandparents lived during two different centuries, and now I like to think that my great grandkids will someday be amazed at me :)
We had a grand old party on New Years Eve, unfortunately my camera died about an hour into it and I have only a few badish iphone photos. It will have to do!
Cupcakes that my friend Maggie helped me to decorate!
View of the CAT bus from Patrick's living room window.
Not the best quality photo, but I think Pat looks really funny/cute here! Plus, who wear's sunglasses at night? Oh yeah, my boyfriend does!
Pat's friend, the "Party Skeleton," who clearly does not have good manners...
The route to the roof doesn't look to scary...
But it IS!!! Maggie climbed like a pro.
We eventually made it up to the roof which was no easy task!
This one is super blurry, but you can see the fireworks over the Savannah River starting in the distance. Very cool view.
The night started out with some difficulties - I almost killed myself on Patrick's bike, none of the food was completely ready when people were getting there, rain and a few other minor issues - but as the night wore on we had more champagne, and more fun! This was the first New Year's that I rang in with Patrick (in our nearly 3 years together), so it was an extra special midnight (kiss!).
Then there was 2010...
One of my resolutions is to crochet a granny square blanket and I got started over the weekend!
My very first granny squares... EVER!
I'm well on my way to a marvelous blanket! I just need to pick out more colors and I'll be good to go :)
