That's how I've felt all week. From a sick kitty to a sick boyfriend. Then work being pretty frustrating lately and trying to get Patrick ready to fly to New York for a trip with his family while dealing with the loss of his job - at least most of his hours anyway. I typically try to stay positive and only vent to Patrick or my mom when I feel like I'm going to explode, but sometimes it just seems like too much! Don't you think?
According to the Vet's diagnosis, Action Jackson was sick from stress too! I hope it wasn't rubbed off from me :( She's doing better now, after an expensive visit to the vet and some medicine to help settle her little kitty tummy. She's back to her normal silly self...
Patrick has had a cold this week and he's now in New York with his mom and sis (a very generous birthday present from his mom) for a week. I'm already missing him tons, but it will definitely be nice to have some time to myself to read, watch movies, and crochet. The one disappointment is that we won't really get to celebrate his 27th birthday together, which is this weekend. He gets back next Thursday and then on Friday I'm leaving straight from work to go visit some friends from grad school in Raleigh for the weekend. I need to come up with an AMAZING gift/surprise for him to make up for not getting to spend the actual day together.
This trip to Raleigh will of course be quite fun I'm sure, since these girls are crazy!!
Devi, Shelly (who won't be able to be there), Katie, Me, and LC
We haven't all been together in a year and a half, so it should be awesome!!! Katie is getting married in May and I won't get to go because my sister is graduating the same day in Oahu, so we decided to have our own mini bridal shower/bachelorette party! I want to come up with a cute idea for gifts or cards or something for each of them... hm... time to brainstorm. I'm so excited!
Then at the end of the month I'm heading back to the midwest for my Cottey College 5 year reunion (aka Founders' Day)! I'll get to meet up with my best friend in the whole world KAIT!
We love photobooth. And our Cottey class rings :)
I'll be heading to St. Louis first to meet up with Kait and our Cottey friend Kristen, who is equally as crazy and fun! Then we're road tripin it through Kansas City to see our friend Kali (man, that's a lot of K's!) who just had a beautiful baby boy, Judah! I can't wait to see them both, it's going to be so exciting!! I wish I had time to make him a blanket, but I'm consumed with finishing the one for my cousin first! I'll have to do something cute and quick. I was thinking this...
After we see Kali, we'll drive down to Nevada, MO, where I grew up (mostly) an where Cottey College is located. I can't wait to see so many people!!! Especially another K-friend, Katie, who I used to be in the school dance company with. I know we're going to have the best time!
Kait, Katie, Me, and Kristen in Madrid on our school spring break trip (yes, Cottey takes it's students to Europe for a week! Holla!)
Random scooter we found outside our dorm one day... it turned out to be owned by a high school friend of mine, Casey. He saw this pic on facebook one day and was like "what are you doing with my scooter!?" It was quite hilarious ;)
I can't wait!!! This is going to be a great month! Even if it did start out a little rough :)
Road trips are the best!
This post made me so nostalgic for my circle of girlfriends from our days in University. It's certainly a strange transition when everyone disperses all over the country/globe.C'est la vie! Have a great trip :)
