In love with these nude sandals featured on Moxie.com
The Sherpa by Matt Bronson (love the touches of gold and green on these!)
I'd totally rock any of these with this cut-out-back dress from Tulle
Now back to work!

It's 71 degrees here in Winston Salem and I'm loving it! Autumn is by far my favorite season and always has been. Wonderful foods, fun festivals, and my favorite - fall fashion!
How about a sophisticated woven dress in a soft neutral tone?
Love the playful sillhouette on this Eryn Birnie Big Button Coat
This soft floral dress even features a touch of smocking!
Super sexy combination of Funktional's Knee-High-Leather Leggings and
Jeffrey Cambell's Short Angle Boots
I think I want to go super lady-like this fall with Jolene's Jacket by Free People
And I think I'd pair this lovely coat with this past-the-knee-length Opening Ceremony Stripe Dress
To mix up the classic plaid scarf, try the Symmetry Morton scarf with chain
Can you tell I'm completely obsessed with Need Supply right now? I think I could live my whole life in their clothes. And definitely in their fall clothes.
It's been a while since I last perused Need Supply, but I'm always pleasantly surprised. Especially when it comes to accessories.
I could easily go on a spending spree with this store. So many amazing things to decorate yourself with. Feeling very inspired to freshen up my wardrobe with heavy metals and sharp edges!
I love the blog Cakies, both for it's name and the four cute girls (and one man) who live there. AND there is currently a marvelous giveaway going on for a very cute zippie purse by aim's shoppe.
Go check it out!
The weekend, that is! I'm so glad it's finally here. Having Wednesday off only made me want the week to end even more! Now all I want to do is look for perfect spring and summer wear!
Oh, how I love Anthropologie and it's lovelies :)
Have a marvelous weekend!
I love the items that Cynthia Rowley designed for Roxy! And since I'm going to Hawaii in just 2 short months, I'm starting to want to buy everything that reminds me of summer :)
This would be perfect over a suit for breezy Hawaii nights with some cute leggings.
These are my absolute favorites!! I desperately need some new summer wedges since I recently had to throw out my 4 year old pair of Gap plaid and cork wedges. I loved them so. and they fell apart completely from that love. It hurts a little just thinking of them :(
But these might just be the ticket!
I have a hair appointment on Saturday and I'm trying to decide if I want to go the way of the bang again or stick with my usual do... I like the look, but I also have the sweaty forehead syndrome and we are quickly approaching Georgia summers!
Please ignore the silly expression ;) This is from, golly, three years ago! Back when I was a senior in college. I'm thinking it would be fun to rock again. And it would motivate me to straighten my hair more often.
As part of our Valentine's Day together (which we celebrated on Saturday do to Patrick's work schedule), Pat and I took a trip to the mall (we were going to go downtown, but I just couldn't handle walking around in 45 degree windy weather). And yes, this was what Pat wanted to do - no encouraging from me needed! Patrick loves to shop, and I'm happy to indulge him :)
I found a few cute things: a $5 black cotton dress from Old Navy, some great black jeans for $15 from PacSun (Pat's favorite place for super skinny jeans) and the best of all! My new boots from Aldo:
They were on sale by quite a bit, but still more than I really should have spent. I justified it by saying that I hadn't spent a lot on a pair of shoes in like 5 years and I don't know that I've found boots I love quite as much in that time either :) I wore them for like 8 hours straight on Saturday - mostly standing - so my feet were sore and swollen on Sunday... and still a little today... but it was totally worth it!!
Pat tells me that punks (Pat used to be quite the punk rocker in his youth, and still is a little bit) used to were chokers and collars around their boots like this, so it's very hard core. Just like me ;)
I want to wear them all day everyday!
Saturday night was also the sort-of-debut of the band of our friends Angel, Brian & Bryan - CUSSES.
It was a seriously good time. Angel (singing/keyboarding) was totally channeling Karen O and the Bry/ians were amazing. Awesome dancing, fist pumping fun!
I know there plenty of photos taken, but I don't have my hands on any more yet.
We also went out for a yummy Thai dinner and I made Patrick a breakfast full of heart-shaped foods. All in all, a wonderful Valentine's Day had by all!
This morning Alexander McQueen committed suicide. He has been one of the most creative and innovative designers of our time. It's devastating that fashion has lost this man. And that the world has lost a creative genius. We can only hope that he is at peace now.
Weardrobe.com is doing a Weekend Getaway style contest and I really want to enter! Especially as I already have travel on my mind.
I have a few ideas from my own closet, but I love some of these picks from Anthropologie...
I LOVE this belt!!!
This strapless top would be so cute with a sweet little cardi.
Love this Free People studded blazer. Would be great with some skinny jeans, boots and a soft, colorful scarf.
Maybe I'll post a pick of what I decide to enter...
My sister goes to school in Oahu (my family used to live in Maui, but now my mom and sis are both in Oahu) and she is graduating from UH Manoa in May. I'm so excited that I'll get to go see her for graduation! I haven't been there in about 3 years and I rarely get to see my family.
Now the mission is to get fit and find a great swimsuit! I've been working out 3-4 times a week for about 2 months now, and I'm hoping that by May I'll be in tip top beachy shape!
We're in the process of booking tickets so I have Hawai'i on my mind... and pretty suits!
I love all of these suits from Anthropologie.
I'm also a huge fan of surf photography - that's actually what I did my senior Art History thesis on. That and other forms of art inspired by surfing and the ocean.
Leroy Grannis is one of my favorites. His book is so beautiful.
My other favorite is Don James who has a book of prewar photography.
Most surfing photography is taken in California, but it still evokes the sense of Hawaii.
I'm also a huge Gidget fan :)
And I found this old postcard of Diamond Head, which is right near where my sister lives...
I'm so excited, I can't wait to go and see them!
hanks to my job I often get tickets to local events and shows that I normally wouldn't be able to go to, and on Friday I got to go to Savannah Magazine's 20th Anniversary Platinum Party. I took my friend Maggie (Patrick had to work) and we got dolled up and went for some fun and free food! We mostly kept to ourselves, which is kind of what I liked about the evening. Sometimes it's fun to sit back and watch everyone without the pressure to "mingle," though we did meet a few very nice people. One of the best parts of the night was when I tried on a pair of matchstick black pants that I haven't been able to fit into for about 2 years and they fit perfectly! I couldn't believe it! I've been working out like a crazy person for the last several months trying to lose some of my post grad school/unemployment weight which has made me quite a bit less confident and prevented me from wearing some of my favorite clothes! Which is really the worst part. Anyway, I was so excited that I had Patrick take some pics of my outfit...
Black Matchstick pants - Gap, $6 on final sale.
White blazer - Gap $40 (?) like 5 years ago for a graduation - we had to wear all white.
Black beaded necklace - Jimmy'z (which apparently no long exists) $5
Black zipper platforms - Carlos Santana (totally random!) via Ross $29
Total dorky awkwardness in front of the camera - priceless!
I'm in LOVE with these shoes! They look like booties on one side and on the other they have this rad cut out shape. And they have zippers wrapping around them! They're my favorites right now.
And so is he :) So cute, right? And the sweetest man alive!
I love that you can see the random white patch on his beard. He always tells people it's toothpaste when they ask, but it's just a weird melanin-less patch on his face. You can't tell it's there unless he's bearded.
I have more pictures but they're all on Pat's iPhone. Maybe I'll post a few when he sends them to me.
With all of the iPad (awful name, by the way) silliness that has taken people by storm, I'm really excited that there's something cuter to see for those of us who can't afford an oversized iPod - The BookBook!
My old pink neoprene Incase ... case is wearing out and stained, so maybe I'll treat myself to this cute accessory soon! It's a little more than I would normally spend, but I love my mac and would do anything to protect it from harm's way! And if I can do it white being super cute, then it's hard to say no :)
I decided to make a batch of sugar cookies in early celebration of Valentine's Day - really, they were mostly a practice round.
They turned out ok, not the best, but not bad.
And I kind of like how tragic looking they are <3
I'm going to go for another batch soon.
In other, more shopping related news, I bought these cute harringbone shoes from Urban Outfitters. ON SALE!!! I love a good sale. I especially love a good sale purchase:
I love the Chanel Spring 2010 Couture collection! It's so pastel, and pretty and playful!
I love the silvery tights and the silver half gloves. I would definitely buy... if they weren't Chanel Couture that is! And I really liked the styling, even if the hair kind of looks like mini-mouse ears :)
I like this much better than the spring 2010 ready to wear collection. Nothing from that really tickled my fancy, aside from the rub on jewelry tatoos, which I must admit I really want!
